The Halal Inspection Institute (LPH) PT Surveyor Indonesia handed over the Halal Certificate
The Halal Inspection Institute (LPH) PT Surveyor Indonesia handed over Halal Certificates to 248 Micro Small Enterprises (UMK) under the guidance of BUMN PT Telkom Tbk, spread throughout Indonesia from Sabang to Merauke, most of which are food and beverage products, cosmetics, oil fats and emulsions, and household health supplies.
"In line with what the Minister of BUMN hopes, now the assistance we provide is no longer assessed nominally but with a significant sustainable impact on MSEs themselves," said Edi. He hopes that after being given this halal certificate, MSEs can develop and advance the nation's economy.
LPH PT Surveyor Indonesia has collaborated with PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk since 2022 in providing free Halal Certificate Facilitation to BUMN Telkom's home-built MSEs. In 2022, as many as 249 MSEs have also obtained halal certification spread across Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Sumatra, Java, East Nusa Tenggara, Bali and Banten.
This collaboration is in line with PT Surveyor Indonesia's commitment to oversee the implementation of Law no. 33 of 2014 article 4 which states that products entering, circulating and being traded in Indonesian territory must be halal certified as well as Government Regulation no. 39 of 2021 article 139 which states that the obligation to be certified halal is carried out in stages.
LPH PT Surveyor Indonesia is ready to contribute to the development of the halal industry and the world halal ecosystem and to make the government's program a success in realizing Indonesia as the Center for the World Global Halal Industry in 2024.
